PoTeaTo

Woke up at 5pm today nursing a hangover from last night's party with the best bunch and the Fathership decided to bring me out for a good oily meal to suppress my nauseating hunger! I was feeling like a sloth (what's new) and didn't want to travel far, so we kept our venue within the estate.

Walked to Kim Tian because Daddy wanted to try Potbellies, only to find out they serve the same shizz as Hearts of House*... WHY EAT THE EXACT SAME NONSENSE AT A DIFFERENT JOINT RIGHT?!

*Hearts of House has closed down. They served a mix of different cuisines but all were mostly TexMex fare which we were not impressed with. They, however, had an extensive beer menu that was to the father's liking #alcoholicdad #alcoholicdaughter but too bad they're gone!

So we ventured further and decided on PoTeaTo since 1) who hasn't tried Forty Hands and 2) we are sick of SocialHaus. Dinner options were pretty limited because we didn't want to have the same foods, and we practically remember all the items on both Forty Hands' & SocialHaus' menus.

Ordered the sausage platter, classic chicken wings & Louisiana ribs to share! There was a 1-for-1 promotion for Kronenbourg and Lindelmann beers, and it's ALL DAY so daddy got his beers while I opted for a Peach Lychee iced tea.

The sausage platter wasn't much but consisted of a pork chorizo and cheesy chicken; it looked pretty sad when served but packed a punch when we tried it! Honest, quality gourmet sausages never go wrong. The chorizo was slightly spicy for that added kick while the cheesy chicken had cheese oozing out like liquid gold.

Pleasantly surprised with this one.

The classic chicken wings were... classic. Nothing fantastic in my opinion, except for the fact that it was fried till a shattering crisp but the innards were moist and fragrant. There was a hint of ginger in its flavour which I thought was quite comforting for some reason.

Star of the night was the ribs! SO BIG THAT I COULDN'T FIT THE ENTIRE PLATE INTO A FRAME. The meat was tender, and portion was generous for an $18 price tag. Though they could've grilled it to a more charred exterior, the ribs were flavorful and fell off the bones like silk mmm I'm getting hungry again.

It came with wedges and a side salad in balsamic vinegar and oil (YAY gimme some of dat dressing all day errday!), with a saucer of mustard-coloured sauce that I couldn't figure out if it were cheese or mayonnaise. BUT IT WAS GOOD.

I'd be back for more small bites rather than their dinner menu because it was very minimal. Looking forward to try their chips and fries because I went to Google and everyone has been raving about them!
